Chelsea flower show

After a successful week at the Chelsea flower show we have already hit our targets for the show. However we have two more days so come and see us at EA460 and let’s get solving your irrigation needs.

Irrigation Maintenance

As we fast approach spring 2020 our maintenance teams are getting booked up with start-up visits all around the UK. If you are an existing customer or simply looking to try somebody new, there is still time to book in to guarantee your system is ready for summer. We offer various different rates depending on your needs. So please don’t hesitate to contact our ops team (ops@irrifence.co.uk) today for more information or to book an appointment.

Last Job Of 2019

Towards the end of December our fencing team battled some testing conditions to install this 50m fence line to a local office park. It was a great testament to our guy’s quality of work and work ethic to get this done in the time allowed, given the conditions. It was rewarding for the fencing team as they have received a lot praise for this work during and since the install took place.

If you have had issues with your fencing due to the recent high winds please get in touch and we will provide you with a quotation.

The Landscape Show 2019

We are currently carrying out site visits following a successful time at the Landscape show this year.

It was useful not only to try and drum up new relationships with landscapers but also to touch base with current and potential suppliers and customers. We also found it was a great way to put faces to familiar names across the gardening industry.

We came away from the show with some great enquiries and aim to use the show as a spring board to help keep us busy throughout the winter months.

Safecontractor accredited

Irrifence our proud to announce that we have gained our safecontractor accreditation from Alcumus. This is a vital health and safety accreditation which allows us to access certain sites.

It’s never too early!

Winter is here! And so are we, it may not seem like the right time to be thinking about irrigation! Its minus 4 outside! However if you have system fitted before the spring it will be up and running for when you needed it, not after. It’s also a good idea to give the ground time to repair, at the moment you are not so conscious about what the garden looks like, so although our mole plough means very tidy work it also means that come the spring you shouldn’t see that a system has even been installed. You can just plant away and let your new system do the watering for you! With feeder systems you can even give those plants and lawns an extra push to get them growing heather and brighter than ever before. We offer all year round free of charge site survey’s, so there is no harm in getting us out to create a system that perfectly fits your garden!

Peter, now retired Chairman, West Haddon Village Hall

“On behalf of the Village Hall management committee I would like to thank you and your staff at IrriFence for the installation of the automatic watering system for hanging baskets at the Village Hall. I hope that we will have hanging baskets up very soon and I intend to submit an article with photographs for the West Haddon News, mentioning your generous donation of the system. This will now be the August edition. The completion of the installation was noted at the Village Hall A.G.M. last night and all of those present wished me to extend our thanks to you and IrriFence. Thank you again”

Come & find us at our new stand location SR29a - Chelsea Flower Show 2018

22 February 2018

We’re on the move! Its bigger and better at the Chelsea flower show this year. Due to our outstanding success over the past 2 years we have responded to our customers suggestions to take a bigger stand to display more of our innovative and class leading products and services. So after 25 years we have moved from Eastern Avenue and our new stand SR29A will be located on Southern Road in one of the Chelsea Hat Stands directly opposite the Bull Ring entrance and just outside the main marquee.

Over the years Chelsea has provided a great opportunity for new and existing customers, to come and see us. Whether you have an existing system which you would like to understand more about or potentially develop, you’re looking for a new system which we can help you design to fit your needs perfectly, Or you have a general interest or question, a member of our friendly, knowledgeable team are always happy to help.

We will have a functioning stand that will show examples of how our equipment works; we have a video demonstration that shows the end-to-end process of an installation. This covers everything from the design stage to the final result after the installation has been completed.

We encourage customers to bring drawings to the stand, which can help us provide you with an idea of what type of system will work best for you and how much it may cost.

Last year we received a 3 star trade stand award, this year we’re going for Gold! So please come and visit us, whether you have a tiny roof terrace or a large landscape project, we are all here to help.

Why is Wi-Fi the way to go?
As with most things these days is it now possible to control your irrigation system from your smart phone, tablet or computer. Technology can be a scary prospect for many and there can be reason to be cautious at times, but after monitoring the progress manufacturers have made with the panels over several years, we now have complete faith in these products. We have been fitting these panels in gardens around the country for the last year and experienced some of the benefits first hand. You may feel this isn’t necessary but here are a number of reasons why we at Irrifence feel that it is;

1. One of the main attractions for us and our customers is that we can access your system remotely from the office. This means if you ever feel that something is wrong or there may be a potential leak we can help to rectify this remotely which can potentially save you a call out fee. An ideal example of this would be if you’ve noticed your system hasn’t been running for a few days after a rainy spell and you don’t know why. Remotely, Irrifence can then log into your system to check the rain sensor to see if it’s still engaged and act accordingly.

2. Secondly you can access this from abroad so if you like to travel but have worries about your garden, this is ideal as you can check its being watered each night without any problem and if in fact there is an issue you can get us out to repair this whilst your away to prevent you coming back from holiday to any problems.

3. Thirdly it gives you the option of being very precise with how much water you actually use each cycle. You could save up to 50% of water used throughout a season using the predictive watering setting. It does this using local weather forecast either from professional weather stations or if you wanted to go one step further weather stations located in your garden. For example if it rains that day but has not given your garden enough water your irrigation system can automatically run putting out less water to ensure your garden is still watered sufficiently. Or on the other had it could be hotter for a period of time usually leaving areas of your garden needing more water, but with this panel it can adjust to ensure your garden is getting enough water through the hot period so it remains healthy and lush for the summer.

These are just some of the key capabilities of the WIFI panels If you require more information or have any questions please just give us a call (01788510601) or email (ops@irrifence.co.uk) and we will be happy to help.

Kind Regards

Daniel McNally
Operations Manager

4th January 2016 – Happy New Year One & All

Is the yearly maintenance on my Irrigation system worth doing?

This is the question we face most from our customers at this time of year and of course as you would expect we would always say YES! I just wanted to put down a few words to explain why it is so important. An Irrigation system is like any other mechanical operation. It has its own individual components, a pump, a control panel & solenoid valves. Although we always use the best quality equipment when fitting new irrigation systems, as we all know they can still go wrong! They are also a lot more likely to go wrong if they are not looked after or regularly inspected.
